The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality (NMBM) has collaborated with Compumade (Pty) Ltd to develop a citizen self-help application. This platform aims to enhance convenience for registered NMBM IVR customers, providing a user-friendly interface for various municipal services.

To register for access, users can contact the NMBM at 041 506 5555, where an agent will assist with the necessary forms and information.

The application currently includes a suite of features designed to streamline interactions with the municipality:

 <li>Pre-paid electricity purchases</li>
 <li>Account payments</li>
 <li>Balance enquiries</li>
 <li>Meter readings, allowing clients to submit their own accurate data</li>
 <li>Statement requests</li>
 <li>User sign-up</li>
 <li>Pin reset functionality</li>
 <li>Incident reporting, enabling residents to alert NMBM of issues in the metro</li>
 <li>IDP (Integrated Development Plan) input, offering residents a platform to share comments on future development initiatives</li>
 <li>Customer surveys</li>
 <li>Housing assistance</li>
 <li>Reporting of fraud and crime</li>
</ul>
